Matthew Byrd

Matthew Byrd is an absolute MVP to add to any editorial team and would be a major asset gained at any company. I had the pleasure of working with Matt for eight years at Den of Geek, and in that time I saw him grow into one of the most imaginative pop culture writers and enthusiastic problem-solvers in our peculiar industry. Matt has always enjoyed a "yes and" disposition, which in the world of online media is vital. But he also is a self-starter who always was thinking outside the box and seeing the big picture when it came to planning an editorial calendar and keeping his vertical organized and on-point.

At the same time, Matt wrote passionately about various media, running the gamut from games to cinema in a way that is accessible but always and unmistakably authoritative. He has a scholarly mind toward the subjects he covers, as well a tenacity integral to last in this business. Believe me, he's a keeper.
